Visit of our Norway partner

How we discover Slovak region

We were very pleased of the first visit of our Norway partner of International Youth Sport Partnership project in Slovakia.  Norway representatives attended event Summer camp 1 and except of the official program we prepared for them also extra program.

Norway representatives arrived at the airport of Budapest, from where they were transfered to metropolis of the East of Slovakia - Košice city. After guided sightseeing and mutual lunch near Mikluš prison they travelled to Veľká Domaša to Surfclub – our centre of water sports.

Because of the Norwegians visited Slovakia for the first time in their life, we tried to show them as much of the eastern Slovakia and Domaša region as possible.  Beside a show and course of water sports they experienced slightly difficult bike circuit around water reservoir Domaša. On the approximately 80 kilometres long trip they visited Slovak villages and could see and feel local culture and atmosphere. They even visited an local typical pub what was really impressive for themJ. Norwegians tried all water sports and proved that this nation has water genes.

Next days our Norway partner’s representatives visited Čičva castle nearby and made road trip from Domaša to the High Tatras. Together we visited towns like Humenné and Poprad, experienced monumental views of the High Tatras partially submerged in mist, we knew the interesting historical center of Bardejov and Stará Ľubovňa and enjoyed the beauty of Levoča with good coffee.

There was so much what was worth of show to our foreign partner, but not so much time. That’s why we are glad that we managed to prepare so many sport, cultural and natural beauty experiences for our foreign guests.

Ďakujeme za podporu Mestu Košice a Slovenskému zväzu jachtingu.
