After the successful project events remained two more events. The final project conference and winter ski camp in Ukraine. Since our aim has been always to combine education with sports, we wanted this time to bring an interesting interplay. Our Norwegian partners had interest in participating in this event and we decided to plan a conference and week of ski training for one date.
After the arrival of the Norwegian delegation to Kosice held a small social gathering, and then they traveled to Uzhhorod. This time honored us May Bente Eriksen with her visit, leader of the Committee for the Barents Sports, together with students of one Norwegian high school.
In Uzhgorod was the Slovak-Norwegian delegation participants warmly welcomed and then started the conference. Event opened Uzhgorod Vice-Chancellor of the University Miroslava Lengel, who is already known in Slovakia from previous events regarding cross-border cooperation.
Further presentations presented representatives of major Ukrainian sports organizations. For example, Head of Youth and Sports Transcarpathian of Regional State Administration Vitaliy Erfan, Ivan Rylyak - head of the Transcarpathian Regional Branch of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, Ivan Myronyuk from the Faculty of Health and Physical Education. And representatives of other departments. Very interesting was the presentation of associate professor of History of Ukraine Vasyl Bourgeois, who explained the benefits and importance of cross-border projects.
Pavol Lopuchovský talked about the various events of the project and the overall benefits of the project.
A great asset to the conference and the project was the presentation from May Bente Eriksen.
After the conference, participants attended an interesting tour of Uzhgorod, followed by a dinner and the next morning we all together went to the place of the final event of the project - Dragobrat Resort.
